You make good points. I think I've stated the case a little more clearly in response to elf above. I'm not sure exactly what the relevance of the timeline is in relation to the case that the current state of affairs promotes unnecessary harm, but I concede that clarification of my scope is called for. I will argue that multiple non-identical cultures within any one unit of organization are detrimental to that organization, but the only level I feel any responsibility to address with others is the smallest organizational level I share with them.
If a viable way could be found to have one world language and one world culture, we could have world peace. What price is too high for that? Can we achieve it at any less cost than too much? That's where I'm going with this, really.
